Terms and Conditions

Fee

  • All outside of warranty machines require an upfront fee of $66 including GST to be paid at the time of booking (non-refundable). This will cover the inspection and assessment of the appliance and will be deducted from the final service charge if the customer agrees to proceed with the repairs. Please be aware that unless the machine is opened and inspected, other underlying faults may occur.
  • Warranty repairs will be charged to the manufacturer or the warranty company. If the fault is due to the customer's misuse (block filters etc.) a $66 fee or the cost of repairs will be applied before you collect the appliance.
  • If the customer has not paid the inspection fee upfront (applies to most companies) and does not wish to go ahead with repairs, the $66 inspection fee must be paid on collection. We require 24 hours’ notice before collecting the unfixed appliance.
  • Any quotation given shall be regarded as an estimate only and subject to correction or alteration at any time. Any work essential shall be carried out. Quotation period is valid for 7 days.

Guarantee

  • All parts replaced and work done are guaranteed for 3 months from the completion of repair, under normal domestic use.

Collection

  • We accept appliances for repairs on the condition that the customer agrees to collect them within 60 days from completion. The goods not picked up within 60 days of notification of completion of repairs will become the property of Direct Coffee Supplies and sold to recover the cost.
  • Unrepaired appliances left for more than 60 days will be disposed of.

Beans

  • Please note that all the coffee beans in the machine will be removed and not replaced.

Duty of care

  • Under Australian Law, we have a duty of care to ensure that any appliances returned to customers are safely handled. Under these conditions, if you give us a faulty appliance, we may sever the power cord or dismantle the appliance. If you choose to not go ahead with any repairs, your appliance will be returned to you in this state.
  • All the machines are cleaned during the service, however some coffee residues might remain in the group head and tamper assembly.
